Calibrated 0.1 Bq/g (10 Bq) simulated 60Co radiation source for use with Model 2100 Sample Counter.
This unique product fastens Ludlum's very thin (0.010 inches thick) plastic laminate type check source in sizes up to 1.0 inch in diameter to instruments using an industrial strength adhesive. This design offers a lower cost alternative to Ludlum's standard plastic disk type sources and Mechanical Holder.
Ludlum's traditional mechanical type check source holder is attached to the instrument housing with four screws. A nice swing-away door exposes the source whenever it is needed to verify detector accuracy and clicks closed to keep the source protected and secure. This type holder is typically used with the plastic disk type check sources measuring 2.5 cm diameter (1 inch).
These transport and storage “satchel-type” cases are lightweight, but ruggedly built with steel pins in the hinges, heavy duty latches, and comfortable, fold-down handles. The cases are resistant to impact and chemical damage. The cases may be padlocked through the provided hasps for additional security for the instruments. Tongue and groove construction and an O-ring provide a dust and waterproof (up to 0.9 m [3 ft.]) design.
Ludlum offers tee-type connectors that split a single signal into two signals and adapters that convert from one connector type to another.
These sources are designed to be attached to instruments. They include a very thin plastic laminate source and an industrial strength adhesive holder for attaching directly to the instrument of choice. The table below presents two of the more common sources. Other source activities and isotopes are available upon request.
These are general purpose check sources used freely to check responses from multiple instruments, or may be contained inside Ludlum's mechanical check source holder that is attached directly to an instrument for convenience. The sources are sealed within a plastic disk.
Ludlum offers straight cables with either type C, BNC, SHV, MHV, or UHF connectors. Unless specified otherwise, Ludlum survey meters and detectors are shipped with “C” type connectors. When a meter and accompanying probe are ordered as a matched set, Ludlum automatically includes a 99 cm (39 in.) straight-type cable with “C” connectors at no additional charge. (Note: We no longer offer coiled cables.)
These rugged switchable stereo/mono headphones provide oversized ear cups that comfortably reduce ambient noises while working in crowded or noisy areas. The adjustable head strap and sides enable custom fit, and the dual volume controls ensure a suitable hearing level for users.
This modification for survey meters adds a headphone jack to the instrument body so headphones can be used to monitor click-per-event audio and audio alarms. Headphones are helpful when the instrument is being used in areas with high ambient noise levels or in areas where the audio would be distracting to others, such as in a medical or office environment.
Adjustable strap with a hook and loop closure for Model 25 Series and Model 25-IS Series instruments.
This 1.8 m (6 ft) adjustable shoulder strap is a great way to keep your hands free while operating survey meters. The nylon strap with a wide rubber comfort pad can also be helpful for conveying some of the heavier instrument/detector combinations in the field.
